Old Main Cogeneration Power Plant Adaptive Reuse, University of Minnesota – Twin Cities campus. 2012-2015; $155 million construction cost. Lead Engineer to modify a large industrial steam plant built in 1912 with additions through the 1930s, to remove seven multi-story gas boilers and replace with a gas-turbine and multi-story heat-recovery unit. The plant provides all heat (steam) and 35% of electric power for the 140+ building UMN campus. Modifications included the installation of long-span heavy trusses to support in-situ roof loads over new large equipment.

University of Minnesota Biomass Power Generation Building, Morris Campus, Morris, MN. 2004; $3.5 million. Lead Engineer in design of a structure to support a biomass digester and electricity generator for the college campus.

Faribault Woolen Mill Evaluation and Reinforcing, Faribault, MN. 2012; $400,000 construction cost. Lead engineer of an investigation, repair and modification of an 1890s woolen mill complex. The heavy timber structure required modifications to support new milling equipment and to repair past adverse modifications.Xcel Energy Chestnut Service Center, Minneapolis, MN; 2021-present; $75 million construction cost. Signing engineer for two buildings: a new four-story precast office building and attached two-story industrial garage to service Xcel Energy’s large service trucks; a second building involved adapting their existing two-story cast-in-place garage into a new materials lab building.

Thermo-King Manufacturing, Bloomington, MN; 2021 to present. Various modifications to the one-story sprawling industrial facility, including reinforcing roof for new RTU units; adding a new truck bay; investigating adding a new addition.
